With Hotline Glass Powders and Frits the glasswork worker has a colourful palette of compatible products for decorating float glass. The COe 82 x 10-7°C (Co-efficient of expansion) is not compatible with art glass colours that usually have a range of 90 through 104. Hotline Powders and Frit are available in 250gm jars.
Float Glass is produced by moving the metled glass over a bed of molten tin. This process leaves an invisible tin coating on one side. The tinned side should be determined and must face up when using Hotline Glass Powders and Frits. For determining the tinned side of float glass a Tin Scope (cat no. 52180) or other suitable light sources should be used for detecting the tinned side of glass.
